Tryna Outrun The Race Of Life
“You think your a God ‘til you run out of time . . . ”
The American Dream
Dream catchers never rest. Even in their sleep they are thinking of a way to get some money by tomorrow.
Why are you sleeping? Why are you eating? Get back to work!
This has now become an internalized voice inside the best of us. We unintentionally miss meals and develop insomnia because we have to work, to survive.
If we didn’t work, we still wouldn’t be able to do either of those things.
(The voice of Masaa is now inside of us, poisoning our minds)
_ + _ = ?
Modern day enslavement = Chasing an American Dream that dims our reality. A dream that was only created to satisfy a particular part of the population.
The Race - Tay Kay
Everyone believes that there is some award to win, or some grand race of life to escape the matrix, or even escape themselves.
But maybe it’s not about winning at all. Maybe it’s about getting to a certain point before you run out of time.
We think that as humans we are immortal. That somehow someway we will be the ones that finally outrun death or jail.
Both can be taken literally and psychologically.
A lot of our young black men get this urge to run a race at such a young age before they are even able to get a real job.
They get involved in the streets tryna out run the race of life. But they never can.
Why?
Because there is no race to run.
There is nothing to win.
The Morbid Reality
Unfortunately, none of us are that important.
None of us will ever be able to live the American Dream unless we are the dominant ones.
Sorry you subordinate!
Death comes on its own. That could be today, it could be tomorrow but it is always an unexpected and uninvited guest.
The morbid reality being that we all die one day. We all will cease to exist along with this world.
So is the race really worth the run?
The Race We Should Be Running
Realize that your human life is temporary.
Realize that you are in fact not a human at all but a spiritual being having a human experience.
Run the race of improvement and personal growth. Because the real goal is to master your human life so you can experience your spiritual one on earth as if it were heaven.
That is how the devil gets us.
He wants us to believe that life after death is too far-fetched.
Why?
Because there is no logical proof that there is anything after this pesky human existence.
Open your mind to the fact that this is a spiritual world. It is far more spiritual than it is logical.
And when we do hear that someone has had a near-death experience and they “saw the light” or they experienced a black abyss we can’t even fathom or even begin to believe that this is true.
Why?
Because when your flesh is weak,
you are only capable of seeing things through your human lens and anything outside of that couldn’t be real because it just isn’t logical,
Right?
Until we start to chew on a different truth, we will always live our human existence trying to outrun the race of life.
The Sky Is The Limit
You are not alone in this race. Attempting to master the flesh is extremely difficult but until you learn, your flesh will master you.
Run towards HIGHER things, the things of this world are so far beneath you.
If this spoke to your spirit, take a pause with The Butterfly Effect— a space to let your fragile side breathe, unfold, and rest.
